May 25 saw a digital conference on disinformation and fake news be hosted by NCE Media, the innovation engine of the Norwegian Media Cluster, and Media City Bergen. Factiverse CEO Maria Amelie was among several high-profile media figures, including representatives of NRK, Faktisk.no and the Norwegian Media Authority, in holding a presentation on how false information spread, and how Artificial Intelligence can be used to combat it.

The same conference also had the honor of hosting Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ine Eriksen Søreide, who opened the event. Søreide has been an active opponent of disinformation, having described this as a societal problem on several occasions.
